What it contains
One email a fortnight. What changed in the advertising codes or in regulator guidance, what a published ruling turned on where one is relevant, and one phrase from a pack or an advertisement examined in the same claim ruling format used on the site. Written for people who write, approve or check sun protection labels and advertising, and for anyone who wants to read the rules rather than opinions about them.
It names no products, exactly like the site.
The sponsor line
Each issue carries at most one sponsor line. It sits after the editorial content, is separated from it, and is labelled as a paid sponsor line in those words. It is sold only to the same categories eligible for the register: testing laboratories, regulatory consultants, responsible person services, claim substantiation specialists and safety assessors. No sunscreen brand, own label supplier, retailer or distributor can buy it.
The rate
Single issue
One labelled sponsor line, one issue.
Three issues
One labelled sponsor line in each of three consecutive issues.
What sponsorship cannot influence
Stated plainly because the point of the publication depends on it.
- It cannot influence any claim ruling, in the newsletter or on the site. Not the status, not the wording, not the timing, not whether one is published at all.
- It cannot buy a mention in the editorial part of any issue.
- It cannot buy advance sight of an issue.
- It cannot buy a veto on any subject.
- It cannot buy the subscriber list, which is never shared, sold or rented.
- It cannot buy category exclusivity over what we write about.

We hold the email address you give us and the country the form was submitted from, and we use them to send the newsletter. Nothing else. Unsubscribe is in the footer of every issue and takes effect immediately. More in privacy.
