The language and labelling of sun protection

You are subscribed to the wording note

One email a fortnight on sun protection claim language: what changed in the codes, what a published ruling turned on, and one phrase examined in full. Written for people who write, approve or check labels and advertising.

The address, and what it is used for

We hold an email address and nothing else. We have not asked for a name and we have not asked for a telephone number, because neither is needed to send a fortnightly email. The address is not sold, it is not rented and it is not passed to a third party. It is not used for promotions: no sunscreen brand, product, retailer or supplier is named anywhere on this site, so there is nothing here to promote to you. Every issue carries a link to stop the emails, and the address is deleted on request. The full position is set out on the privacy page, and anything you want to raise with us, deletion included, can go through the contact page.

Where to start reading

The first issue will arrive in due course. In the meantime, three of the six sections cover the ground the note works over.

Editorial disclosure

No sunscreen brand, product, laboratory, consultancy, retailer or supplier has paid for, been offered, or been promised any mention anywhere on this site, and no product is named.
